Retire by 40 It Can Be Done!

Lets be honest here. I think it is just about every American’s dream to find riches and retire early. For every 35+ person out there who is dreaming of retiring in 5 years there is a 18+ already planning on it and preparing for it. Now this isn’t an easy task to do and it certainly isn’t for just anyone. This takes a lot of patience and discipline. MSN.com has an article on how to do just this and I have taken the liberty to further investigate their findings. It says that at the age of 20 years old (my current age) you start saving 20% of every paycheck. Then it instructs you on a few funds that you should invest in and watch the money grow. The fund that they specifically spoke of was the S&P Fund $INX. I took the liberty of looking into it and what do you know its a great fund to invest in. There are certainly flaws with this fund as there are every other fund. If your financial advisor tells you they’ve found a full proof fund to invest in then GET OUT! All they have on their mind is a big fat commission check.
If you look at the latest trends in the stock market the technology field has recently skyrocketed. Why is that? Because even during a time of economic struggle people around the world are still fascinated with new technologies and are willing to invest in the ideas of the future. Google and Apple are the two strongest companies to invest in right now followed by At&T. Over a 6 week period in which I tracked these three stocks. Google started out at $464.19 per share and topped out at $594 per share and has stayed in the upper $500’s for awhile. Now being that these stocks are expensive to buy per share this is probably an investment for the wealthy only but if you can find the money to gather together BUY IT. It is only going to go up with the new Google Phone coming out shortly. Apple also had a giant hike in price and started out at $151.44 per share and ended right around $184 per share. Apple is a company which most people can invest in and lets be honest they have been a strong investment for a while and they too are only going to get strong for the foreseeable future. AT&T on the other hand is not the large investment that you would think. They were trading at just under $42 per share the last time I took a gander and they too had a trend of rising stock over the past 6 weeks.
Take a look at just those three examples. All Tech, all rising and only going to get stronger. I’m not telling you to go out and buy it right away but it would not be a bad investment in my opinion.
